Chanel Hits The Catwalk In London

Designer, Karl Lagerfield for Chanel threw his first fashion show in London at the Victoria Albert Museum, called the Metiers d'Art Collection. The purpose of the show was to give recognition to the Parisian artisans and craftspeople who work for the company.

The show combined traditional Chanel references like tweed suits, with an added modern twist to the mix. The makeup was made to look more punk than historical which added a nice contrast. Due to the London location, Lagerfield threw in little references to the city with union jack clutches.

The soundtrack for the show was created by live performance from former model Irina Lazareanu and Beatles son, Sean Lennon.
