Chanel Rejects "Too Skinny" Models for Paris Fashion Week

Designer Karl Lagerfeld denied three models for his Chanel Spring/Summer 2008 show at Paris Fashion Week yesterday. According to Lagerfeld, the models sent to him were too skinny and they looked unhealthy.
Lagerfeld says he has no problem with skinny girls, but he does not want to promote an unhealthy body type. The three unidentified models were "so skinny they looked deformed," he said and Lagerfeld stated that they should not be modeling.

The collection showed muscular, lean and curvy models like Gemma Ward, photographed here in a Chanel denim bikini.

Celebrities that had front row seats for the show were actress Kirsten Dunst, burlesque entertainer, Dita Von Teese, and former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham who attended the show wearing a 1950's green vintage dress.
